Dear All
I would like to welcome you to the international scientific conference „Perinatal Palliative Care”, which brings important and beneficial topics for health care, social work, and other helping professions. As Vice Dean for Internal and External Relations of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, I am very grateful for the opportunity to co-organize this conference. The idea of organizing the conference arose from the established cooperation between Czech and Polish midwives on the scientific level. I am glad that this cooperation has become multidisciplinary, including the research of anthropologists, of which I am a representative. This interdisciplinary cooperation allows us to use mixed methods in research and take a multidisciplinary approach. I trust that this conference is the beginning of a scientific collaboration between our Universities to study the phenomenon of perinatal palliative care, with particular attention to cultural conditions and the role of the midwife in caring for families experiencing a prenatal palliative diagnosis. Dear all, I wish you, successful deliberations during the conference. Once again, I would like to thank the team organizing the conference for their unique cooperation and wish you a good day.
Vice Dean Alena Lochmannová,
