Department of Health Economics, Management and Statistics

The mission of the Department of Health Economics, Management and Statistics is to provide and disseminate scientific evidence that supports better management of health at the level of individuals, teams, and systems.

We focus on quality of life, efficiency, and data supporting decision-making in healthcare. We conduct interdisciplinary research and education in the fields of health economics, management, and statistics, analysing socio-economic determinants of health and guiding the implementation of innovative solutions in healthcare.

Scope of activities:

• conducting interdisciplinary scientific research in the field of public health;
• research on quality of life and wellbeing of patients and employees, as well as work efficiency;
• development and analysis of socio-economic data related to health and the effectiveness of health interventions and medical technologies, including pharmaceutical public health;
• education in health economics, management, development of personal competencies, and statistics;
• preparation of reports, expert opinions, and research- and implementation-oriented studies;
• cooperation with national and international institutions and research units.
